Contacting your MLA/MP isn’t as difficult or daunting as you might imagine. Follow these simple steps to give wildlife a voice when it needs it the most.
✅ Subject Line:
Be specific. Examples: “Request for Wildlife Protection Measures Under Bill C-5” or “Concern Regarding Habitat Loss in My Constituency”
✅ Salutation: Use their official title, such as:
“The Honourable [First Last], MLA” or “MP [First Last]”
✅ Body:
Introduce yourself: Your name, where you live, and your connection to the region.
State your concern: Be clear about the issue, ideally with local examples. Describe the impact on wildlife, ecosystems, or your community.
Call to action: State your desired outcome (e.g., investigate, advocate, support a particular policy).
Offer support: Let them know you’re available to provide more information or resources.
